Hi folks!

Long time no see. No excuses in store for you. However I can give you a small uppdate on what I'm up to this week. First work, two days. Then comes the big day. friday. First I have an appointment at 10 am. I'm goint to Fish Eye. These guys seem seriously talented! So, on friday I'm loosing my tattoo virginity. Wihoo!

u thte fun doesn't stop there. When I'm done at the studio, my brother and his wife are picking me up and then we are going on a road trip to Gothenburg to see P!nk!! I'm so excited!!

Play day!

Yay!

Today is The Day! My brother, his wife and two kids are coming to visit me. Actually I've planned this for quite some time, I was so cunning I bought tickets to a place here called Leklandet (roughly translated to playland) for the kids as christmas gifts. Haha now they had to come! =)

So, now I'm going to change into my workout outfit since adults can play to, we are "supervising the kids". Isn't that perfect? All those parents who have fun but are to stiff to say so, can just say "well, s/he couldn't go through the maze him/herself".

Well, I'm not a stiff, so I'll just admit it, I'm going to have superfun! The best thing is that they aer staying until tomorrow! <3 <3

25th Bash!

My best friend Emma has her 25th Bash tonight. I'm going there a bit early. This is my makeup for the evening. Better pictures will come, promise! The interesting part is that I'm going to a mall right now to buy a new dress, didn't really think of that before I did my makeup. Well, nobody has ever died from seeing a inup-ish girl a saturday, right??

James Bond

Today I'm in Norway. I've been working and tonight my mother and I are going to a party with work, it's a James Bond theme, so who knows what will happen.

Tomorrow I'll be going back home. It's always nice to visit mum and dad, but it's also always very nice to come home again.

25!

My very very very best friend Emma turns 25 today! Hipp hipp hoorayy!!! She has been my best friend for about 8 years now. I don't know what I would do without her. Even though we now live in different cities we still have daily contact. We ventilate, laugh, yell and gossip like two sisters. Actually we've decided that we are sisters. As a bonus she is Gorgeous!
So, Emma, Have the best bday ever! I can't wait til your great big 25's bash! I love you dollface!

Spring.

Hi peeps!

Today I'm at the uni as yesterday, but today is a seriously much better day that yesterday! LAst night I spent the entire evening going through my favourite blogs. I have lots and lots of favourite blogs, but I rarely have the time to look at all of them . I got so inspired! It really gave me a the kick I needed. So today I woke up with an abundance of energy, took a long hot shower, fixed my hair and makeup, threw on my favourite summerdress with another, thight dress underneath, perfected the look with a warm cardigan and my biggest and coziest scarf and my red boots. Today I feel reday to take over the world!

So my friends, today we take over the world and fill it with love and fluffy white and pink stuff, okay?

I´m ALIVE!

Guess what! The secret is out... I helped by brother plan his secret wedding. He invited people to his 30's birthday and instead they got hitched =0)

I love my brother, he is my best friend (yes Emma, you 2) and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect sister in law. She truly is like a sister to me.

My sweet MrM turns 28 today! Hipp hipp hoorray!! Right now he is slaving in the kitchen, making his own birthday dinner. Those of you who think I should be making the dinner, you don't know me very well, do you? In fact, he wouldn't want me to make the dinner. Inedible. Anyhow, sometimes he lets me make the sallad, so I'll pop out into the kitchen to ask if I get the honours today.

I just got home. I've been away since 7,30 this morning so I'm tired, but I just have to tell you this before I my meeting with MrDreamland. I told you earlier about the dress, how nice it is and how sad I am it doesn't fit. Well I told MrA about it in the car home. (we haven't seen each other all day and he hadn't read the post). Anyhow I told him the dress is very unstrechy and the waist is to narrow to get over my shoulders.

He then said,- isn't it weird that H&M would make a dress to tight to get on? Are you sure?

- Obviously I'm sure! I've tried!

When we got home I still wanted to show him the dress because it's so cute. And then, magic happened. A zipper appeared! I swear it wasn't there before, but now it was there! And now I can get the dress on. It fits like a glove!! Haleluhja! Now I can go to sleep happy!

Time is on my mind.

Hello guys!

I'm sorry I haven't been bloging very much this week. Actually I tried to post twice last night from my iPhone, but for some reason it didn't work.

I haven't had one day off this week since I'm both working part time and studying full time. However on tuesday I have the whole day off! Wii!

I spend last night with the bestest of best friends, namely Emma. We spent the night at her mom's flat because she needed some help with her PC. So Emma tried to fix it and at the same timw we watched the movie Mamma Mia. Twice. Ahaha! What a good movie! We sang along, off pitch of course. We wouldn't have it any other way!

Her mother Eva thought we were crazy when she came home. Well, that opinion soon changed as she started to sing too! At midnight Eva made supper. So way past my bedtime I enjoyed a very nice dinner with some of my favourite people in the world!

Good hair day! Woohoo!

I've been working today. I had a genuinely gooood hairday! Wow, that hasn't happened for ages! The very first customer that I helped today was an old man. He didn't say a word. Didn't look at me, then as he was about to leave he looked up and out of the blue said:

-You are a very very sweet young lady. I wish I was twenty so I could propose to you.

Then he walked away. Wowee, that made my day. The a guy my own age swooched by, stopped, turned around and said:

-I really like your hairdo. Really nice!

Biig smile on my face.

Later a middle aged woman walks up to me, starts to ask me something, and in the middle of the sentence says:

-Your hair is so cute!

As a bonus lots and lots of my collegues gave me heartwarming comments. Now that is a recipe for a goood day! I just wish I was less lazy, if I were, you would see some nice pictures of the do, instead of crappy photobooth pictures.

A happy camper!

Today I went to the woods again to look for some chantarells. Actually I went to a new place so I ddn't know what I would find. When I walked through the bushes and the shrubs I pondered upon what would be my best tips and tricks to you regarding chantarell picking and mushroom hunting in general. So here we go.

Make sure you have the right gear. 

• A nice basket to put your treasures in. Preferably one that is big and flat in the bottom so that it sits sturdy on the uneaven ground of the forest.
• A brush and a knife. I have a combo that is fairly easy to find at your local grocery store. It's a brush/knife so that you only have to keep track of one thing.
• The proper outfit. I prefer wellies, comfy pants, a wind proof jacket and a cap.
• Make sure you use a mosquito repellant. You'll never get the sought after peace of mind if all you do is chasing away non-friendly mosquitoes.
• A cell phone if you're out on your own.

Now, all you need to do is find a good spot. Walk slowly. Chantarells can really be hard to find. Pay attention as to where you put your feet, you don't want to discover that you've just stepped on a nice shroomy.

here comes the important part, when you find a nice golden chatarell, the first thing you need to do is a victory dance. This is compulsory! Then pick it, brush it off and put it in your basket. Now comes a second dance. Line dance. Since chantarells have a tendancy to grow in groups just imagine a line dance. (I haven't line danced properly, but I imagine they sound like this.) " A step to the right, a step to the left. Do a little twirl. Two steps forward, three steps back." And so on.  (no, my hand isn't blue, its just my iPhone that takes wanky photos sometimes.)

Even if you see a nice chantarell glowing further away, make sure you've picked everyoneat your current spot before you leave. I find this part difficult. I'm like a four year old at christmas when I see a chantarell. That is why I walk in circles so that I pass the same spots several times. I actually retraced my steps four times today and I found new chantarells every time!

I also found a new friend today. The wind. God bless the wind. Nothing keeps the mosquitoes away like the wind!

I finished my little forest walk sitting by the lake. I placed my bum on a stone (in swedish also called a "bumling" haha!) and ate a pear. As a nice bonus I stumbeled across some more chantarells on my way to my car.

Needless to say, I'm a happy camper!

ps. if you're not 110% certain of what you've picked, make sure you consult a good mushroom dictionary before you use it in your food!. ds.

A small tip.

Last saturday four of my old classmates and I got together to catch up. It's been five years since we graduated! I only snapped a few photos, the rest of the time I laught my lungs out!

Today has been all about food.

Indeed my day has been all about food. I went to the forest, ended up walking around there for two hours. It was so nice! All alone in the woods, just me and the birds. And ants, mosquitos, flies and.... so on and so forth. But it was really nice! (however I am glad I took my trusted wellies, it's so darn wet in the forest from all this raining!)

I found some chantarells, which actually was why I went up there in the first place, and I also picked blueberries. I must admit I do get slightly panicy when I wander around there, there's just so much blueberries! It's like wading in a blue stream! At one point I looked up and was kind of lost. I had wandered for so long without looking up, so it took me a few minutes before I knew where I was.  (And for the record I didn't find any Karl-Johan mushrooms (don't know the english name) either, so Madeleine, you need to share!) Here's proof I didn't just eat the blueberries, I actually brought some home!

Anyhow when I got home I was really in this harvesting mood, so I picked some black currant in our garden. I ended up making a batch of cordial. Here's what it looks like.

Trolls and princesses.

Yesterday I went to Mariebergsskogen in Karlstad. I met up my friend Emma and her mother Eva there. We bought tickets for the "Troll walk" which is  an interactive childrens theater. You walk around a small forest with guides looking for trolls. The kids get so involved, it's hilarious just to listen to their comments!

We did meet a troll. Isn't she good looking?

Then we met a prince, he felt slightly out of focus, hence the blurry picture. (It has nothing to do with the photographer, I swear!) He also happens to be my bonus little brother. Aka Emmas little brother and Evas son. (He is my bonus brother because Emma and I are so close, we could just aswell be sisters!) He is so terribly talented! (And good looking... just like the rest of the family. Now thats a good gene pool right there for ya.) 

Then we met a princess who had the cutest hair ever. True princess hair, a mile long and naturally super blond. Supposedly she is also very talented and nice. And good looking. Wow-ee, if only I was gay and single.... Anyhow, however....

Then we met the evil sorcerer. He put a spell on the prince, luckily the children, the troll and the ever so pretty princess together managed to get him free again. Phew!

After the theater we went to an ice cream bar, holy smokes, I get blown away every time at how delicious their ice cream is! An old classmate of ours also came along! I hadn't seen her for five years! She was just in sweden for vaccation, she lives in London nowadays. It was super fun to see her again, she really is the cutest!

The Happiness.

Mr M and I spent the afternoon at his fathers and K's new (old) house. Mr M helped with putting up a new roof and I just wandered around with my camera. I must say I was in heaven. They have loads of cherry trees filled with lovely red cherries. It seems this day has been just about berries, haven't it?

It's not toally true I was in heaven though, actually the name of the place is Lyckan, which is Swedish for happiness. true to the name I was happy with my camera there. It's an old farm and it's so charming! And just like us they have plenty of apple trees in their garden too.

Tomorrow I'm going back to pick more cherries, because today I just ate everything I picked....
